Kids Succulent Embroidery

This 1.5 hour, hands-on workshop helps new stitchers (ages 12+) get started with embroidery. We'll cover prepping fabric in the hoop, splitting, knotting, and threading as well as basic embroidery stitches like the satin stitch, seed stitch, and reverse chain stitch.

Each attendee will receive a full kit that includes: a wooden embroidery hoop, succulent transfer designs, an embroidery needle, full skeins of embroidery thread, cream cotton fabric, and printed instructions.

Instructor: Melissa Galbraith
Instructor Bio: Melissa Galbraith is the fiber artist behind MCreativeJ. She was born and raised in the desert of Washington state, where her mother instilled a love of making things by hand at an early age. Drawing on her love of nature, Melissa creates whimsical and modern embroidery patterns and kits. She loves sharing how anyone can embroider with her embroidery kits, patterns, and virtual workshops.
