Wilder Gown

Want to make your own clothes but feeling a little intimidated? The Wilder Gown from Friday Pattern Company is the perfect place to start!

The Wilder Gown is a raglan sleeve dress/top that is pulled in and tied at the neckline. It can be made as a long two tiered dress, a single tier short dress, or a top! (In this class we'll go over how to make the dress) The pattern also includes options to make it short or long sleeved. The Wilder is as comfortable as it is cute and it's modular design lends itself well to customization. You'll want to make this pattern again and again.

This class will happen over the course of 1 week. 1 week prior to class we'll send you a video guide with instructions of how to:

- Measure yourself to determine your size
- Prep your fabric and pattern
- Cut your pieces and transfer markings
- You'll cut your pieces out on your own time before class

You'll need to order or buy fabric at least 1 week prior to class. A paper copy of the pattern will be available for pick up at the store upon registration. We can also mail it to you for $5

You'll arrive at class in the store with your pieces already cut out. In our 4 hour course we'll start assembling you'll garment We'll teach you to:
- Understand pattern terminology and directions
- Different options for seam finishes
- How to create a turned tube for the tie
- How to assemble the bodice
- How to gather one tier of the skirt

You'll finish the last tier and hem at home.

You will provide the fabric and coordinating thread, we'll supply the sewing machines and all the needed tools!

For fabric we recommend a lightweight woven like Warp and Weft, Hemp Cotton Blends, or Double Gauze
